Event Description
|
It was reported that the catheter of a cleo® 90 infusion set remained in the patient's skin.The device had been in use for "three days or more" when the fault occurred.It was noted that the nurse went to the patient's home later, and the "catheter set" had been done successfully.The cannula worked itself out of the skin.No permanent injury was reported.

Three unused cleo® 90 infusion sets were returned for investigation.Examination of the entire devices found no abnormalities or defects.The trocar was in proper position as was the site, soft cannula, etc.Microscopic examination of the soft cannulas were all found to be in proper order with no visual defects or abnormalities.No device issues were found.No root cause for reported problem was determined.
