Event or Problem Description
Complainant alleged that during a routine shift check by a clinician, the device displayed a "check pads" message.Complainant indicated that there was no patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

The device was returned to zoll medical (b)(4); the malfunction was observed and the analog board was replaced.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.The analog board was returned to zoll medical us; the malfunction was duplicated and attributed to a faulty fuse on the analog board.Analysis for reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
