Event or Problem Description
Complainant alleged that during a routine shift check by a clinician, the device would not power up.Complainant indicated that there was no patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

Zoll medical corporation evaluated the device and the reported malfunction was not replicated or confirmed.The device was put through extensive testing without duplicating the malfunction.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.It is important to mention the lithium coin battery on the system board used at the time of the reported event was not returned.The customer replaced the lithium coin battery before returning the device for evaluation.No trend is associated with reports of this type.
