No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.A medtronic representative went to site to test the equipment.Representative reported that after replacing the cable but the monitor did not power on.A different surgeon monitor from another system powered on without issue when using the same cable.A surgeon monitor was replaced which resolved the issue.A system checkout was performed after replacing the monitor and the hardware, software, and instruments passed the system checkout.The system was found to be fully functional.The suspect cable and monitor has been received by manufacturer for evaluation.The returned cable was found to be in good condition with apparent physical damage.The cable passed continuity tests with no opens.No fault found.When the returned monitor was connected to known good system the monitor had a blank display.The hardware investigation found that the reported event was related to a hardware issue.This issue was documented in a medtronic navigation hardware anomaly tracking database.
 
Event Description
A medtronic representative reported that while outside of procedure, the surgeon monitor of the navigation system had intermittent display.Disconnecting/reconnecting and manipulating the cable improved the signal on the monitor.There was no patient present at the time of the issue.
