No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.Onsite investigation was preformed and the field representative was able to resolve the issue by replacing the navigation system's computer.No further issues were reported.Replaced computer was returned to manufacturer.Analysis of the returned computer is in progress and results are not yet available.A full system check-out was completed and all tests passed.Full system functionality was confirmed and the system was returned to service.
 
Event Description
A medtronic representative reported that the software became unresponsive in multiple areas within the software during browsing through plans.There was no patient present when this issue was identified.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The analysis on the computer of the navigation system was completed by medtronic personnel.Testing found that the ram had a malfunction.However, testing was unable to replicate the reported issue.The hardware investigation found that the reported event was related to a hardware issue.This issue was documented in a medtronic navigation hardware anomaly tracking database.
