Event or Problem Description
The customer reported via phone call that the insulin pump had a blank display.The customer¿s blood glucose level was 167 mg/dl.The customer states she replaced batteries over 8 times and the pump was completely dead and not responding.The customer was assisted with troubleshooting and the display did not return.The customer was advised to discontinue use of the insulin pump and to revert to the back-up plan.The insulin pump will be returned for analysis.
Additional Manufacturer Narrative
Device received with blank display due to moisture damage at electronic assembly.Also, moisture damage motor during visual inspection.Unable to perform operating currents, self test, rewind test and displacement test due to blank display.
