The returned device was evaluated.During evaluation, the device was able to power on using both battery and ac power.The device was able to obtain readings and alarmed audibly and visually under alarm conditions.The unit was charged overnight and during testing remained on for 30 minutes prior to providing a low battery alarm and powering off.Internal inspection showed cosmetic damage on the inside and that the battery voltage measured at 6.5 vdc.The customer's complaint was not duplicated; however, the battery does not hold the up to 7 hours of charge after being fully charged overnight, additionally the power on/off button is damaged.Model # was corrected from 22042 to 22044.
