Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer (con) regarding a patient receiving unknown baclofen at an unknown concentration and dose via an implantable infusion pump for intractable spasticity and cerebral palsy.It was reported that the patient had an incident with her pump at the end of (b)(6) 2017.The consumer stated that out of nowhere the patient started looking "funny" and she wanted to go home and all of a sudden she started seizing and did that until she went into a coma for 30 hours.The patient had episodes where she was trying to catch her breath and panting.The patient went rigid and had tremors and violently shook, this went on for almost 30 hours and all of a suddenly it was gone.No further complications were expected or anticipated.
