Event Description
On (b)(6) 2018, a reporter contacted animas alleging that the sensor wire had broken and been imbedded within the patient.The reporter stated that the sensor wire had completely detached from the sensor.The patient required surgery to remove the broken wire and it was located within the abdominal wall.This complaint is being reported because the patient required medical intervention related to the cgm sensor wire.
