Consumer reported complaint for hi blood glucose results. The expected fasting blood glucose test result range is unknown. The customer feels well and did not report symptoms.Medical attention is not reported as a result of the actual blood glucose results. The product is not stored by customer according to specification in the bathroom.During the call on (b)(6) 2018, a blood test was performed fasting by the customer and produced test results of hi mg/dl using true metrix meter. The test strip lot manufacturer's expiration date is 5/24/2019 and open vial date is (b)(6) 2018.The meter memory was reviewed for previous test result history: (date/time not stored correctly): result 1: hi, date:(b)(6), time: 7:15 pm, fasting.Result 2: hi, date:(b)(6), fasting.Customer did not have his old meter, so his wife bought this meter and they brought it home and did 2 blood tests. Each results read hi fasting with no symptoms. He had not taken his insulin and it was about 5-6 hours after eating his lunch. The customer and wife called to inquire about the hi result.I explained that the meter reads hi if blood glucose results are over 600 mg/dl.The wife, who is not a diabetic, ran her blood and it read 126 mg/dl.We offered to replace the meter and strips but the wife said he will take his insulin and if they want to have the meter replaced will call back.
