Boston scientific received information that this pacemaker was disconnected during a procedure to replace the right ventricular (rv) lead. When the device was reconnected, noise was observed. The new rv lead was tested via a pacing system analyzer with good parameters. The device was flushed and cleaned several times but the noise continued due to fluid in the header and a suspected set screw issue. This pacemaker was explanted and replaced prior to pocket closure. No adverse patient effects were reported.
