Boston scientific received information that while the patient was in the hospital for pneumonia the field representative was called to perform an interrogation on the pacemaker.Upon interrogation it was found that the right ventricular (rv) lead threshold measurements had increased and there was intermittent loss of capture (loc). The patient did have an underlying rhythm, but the rate was unknown. The output was reprogrammed to provide an appropriate safety margin.Boston scientific technical services (ts) suggested an x-ray, however the field representative noted that he was not aware of them ordering one.The pacemaker and rv lead remain in service and no additional adverse patient effects were reported.
