Manufacturer Narrative
If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.

Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) via a device manufacturer representative regarding a patient receiving unknown medication at unknown concentration and dosage via an implantable infusion pump for the treatment of non-malignant pain and failed back surgery syndrome. It was reported that the expected reservoir volume (erv) was 3.6 ml and the hcp aspirated 0 ml from the pump. The pump was empty. The hcp proceeded with normal refill and the pump took all 20 ml.The hcp would monitor the pump and scheduled the patient for replacement since the elective replacement indicator (eri) was 3 months. The patient showed no symptoms of possible over infusion and no symptom was reported. No interventions/actions were taken to resolve the issue. The issue was not resolved and patient status was alive without injury at the time of the report.Additional information was received from the healthcare provider (hcp) via a device manufacturer representative. It was reported that the explant was due to both the short elective replacement indicator (eri) and the volume discrepancy. No further complication was reported.
