Information was received from a health care provider (hcp) via a device manufacturer representative regarding a patient receiving morphine (5 mg/ml), baclofen (150 mcg/ml) and marcaine (30 mg/ml) at minimum rate via an implantable infusion pump. The indications for use were noted to be non-malignant pain and arachnioiditis. It was reported that the patient's pump had been empty for 3-4 weeks, relative to (b)(6) 2018, and the pump was alarming. The representative was enquiring as to the best way to silence the alarm as the managing doctor would no longer be managing the patient. The pump was going to be filled on (b)(6) 2018 at the hcp's office, but the patient would not be able to make the appointment. No symptoms were reported related to the empty pump.No further complications were reported.
