Event Description
Information was received from a consumer via a manufacturer representative (rep) regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for movement disorders.It was reported the ins has been intermittently turning off unexpectedly starting (b)(6) 2018.This happened twice this month.It was also reported the patient has heard "a clicking noise" that seemed to be coming from the device, but they're not sure if it's related.Patient also confirmed that they're not near any strong emi sources.The rep interrogated the ins and everything seemed to be normal.The rep had the patient demonstrate how they sync with the ins and the rep doesn't believe the patient was accidentally pressing the ins on/off button.No patient symptoms or further complications were reported as a result of this event.

Event Description
Additional information was received from the healthcare professional via the manufacturer representative stating the cause of the ins turning off was not determined.The issue of the ins turning off had been resolved at the time of the report.
