Event Description
Per the clinic, the patient experienced persistent periabutment soft tissue inflammation and skin overgrowth.Subsequently, the device was explanted (date not reported).There are plans to place an abutment on the sleeper implant once the skin has healed.

Corrected data : the explantation of the device as initially reported was not related to the skin issues.Additional information was received : per the clinic, the patient's skin issues were treated many times with oral and topical antibiotics (dates not reported).The patient experienced infection and was hospitalized for iv antibiotics (dates and duration not reported).
