Event Description
Nurse states her patient had a sl groshong picc placed on (b)(6) 2018 at another facility. The patient went for a ct scan and the picc was used to administer the contrast via power injection.During the procedure the hub of the picc "blew out".The catheter was clamped. The nurse states "this is not a product complaint, it was user error".She is suggesting that we label non-power products in some way so that users will be able to easily determine if the catheter can be used for power injection.
