Event Description
|
Customer reported via phone call that there is physical damage to the insulin pump.The patient's blood glucose at the time of incident was 455 mg/dl.Troubleshooting was initiated for the physical damage.The battery compartment spring popped out during a battery change.The customer was advised to discontinue use of the insulin pump and revert to a back-up plan per health care professional¿s instruction.The insulin pump will be returned for analysis.

A complete analysis and testing of the insulin pump showed that it was functioning properly and passed all functional testing.After testing it was concluded that the device operated within specifications.
