Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) via manufacturer representative (rep) regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins). It was reported the physician was unable to increase current past 4.2 ma.The patient also had intermittent therapy. The electrode impedance was reported by the physician as approximately 2000 ohms, however, this was later reported as approximately 1100 ohms. All electrode combinations were reported as within a normal range. The physician attempted to increase amplitude above 4.2 ma, but couldn't.So they then moved to another group, which already existed but they changed the settings and they were unable to apply any current. The new group allowed them to increase to 4.5 ma.They checked the impedances with the new group and it showed approximately 1100 ohms.It was unknown if the issue was resolved at the time of the report. No further complications were reported as a result of this event.
