Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for spinal pain.It was reported that the patient was having to charge the ins twice a day, and that they were told initially that they would only have to charge twice a week. The patient liked to feel the vibrations of ld settings but stated that when they increased settings to 5.5 they would start to get sick.It was noted that the patient had been switched from ld to hd settings and that this was when they started needing to charge more. The patient also stated that they cannot charge twice a day because it makes them sick at night, they hurt on the left side through their stomach while recharging and it makes their bowels cramp. The patient also noted that they had lost 15-20 lbs.The patient was redirected to their hcp.No further complications were reported.
