Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) via a device manufacturer representative regarding a patient receiving gablofen (2000 ug/ml, 675 ug/day) via an implantable infusion pump for the treatment of intractable spasticity.It was reported that the patient's pump was alarming and was in safe state.The healthcare provider (hcp) got it reprogrammed and updated the pump.The event date was (b)(6) 2018.It was later reported by the hcp that patient had symptoms because of the safe state.The patient was still at the clinic and there were no other anomalies after pump was updated.The pump was refilled on (b)(6) 2018 with no issue at that time.No further complication was reported.Additional information was received from the healthcare provider (hcp).It was reported that the patient experienced fever, increased spasticity and anxiety.The cause of safe state was unknown and original dose was reprogrammed and the pump stopped alarming.No further complication was reported.
