|
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced infection, removal, adhesions, bowel issues, bowel perforation.Treatment provided for these conditions include removal surgery.

The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for laparoscopic therapeutic treatment of incisional ventral hernia.It was reported that after overlay implant, the patient experienced recurrence, infection, adhesions, bowel issues, abdominal pain, peritonitis, pain, constipation, and bowel perforation.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgery, excision of mesh, repair of hernia with lifecell strattice, lysis of adhesions, midline laparotomy, ct scan, medication, small bowel resection.Relevant tests/laboratory data: on (b)(6) 2016: per op note, ct imaging consistent with viscous perforation and evidence of inspected [sic] mesh.
