Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator (ins) for parkinson's dual and movement disorders.It was reported that the patient said she had a battery charge from a pc to rc and that was due to normal battery depletion.Patient said they were telling her how to recharge when she had the iv in going into surgery and the rest when she was coming out of surgery and she doesn't remember how to charge.Troubleshooting done on the call included re-positioning the antenna over the ins, turning the dial through all 4 positions, and reviewing the antenna locate.Patient could get only 4 bars.They tried the antenna locate and couldn't get the antenna locate to come up.Troubleshooting did not resolve the issue.The patient had bandages present.Once the bandages come off she should be able to get more bars.No symptoms were reported.No further complications were reported or anticipated with this event.
