Event Description
|
It was reported a midline was placed in right upper arm at 1815 and another midline was placed in left upper extremity at 2157.It was stated the one on the right infiltrated.Dilaudid and phenergan was given to the pt prior to infiltration by tpcn.Patient then complained of extreme burning under her right arm.Tpcn tried flushing the line and drawing back blood.It was reportedly painful to flush and would not draw.Rn noticed the right upper arm to be swollen and warm to touch.Dc'd midline, and started a new one on the left.(b)(6) 2018: it was stated that the midline was an 18g x 8cm.
