Event Description
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a hernia.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced small bowel obstruction secondary to recurrent incarcerated ventral hernia, hernia sac that contained small bowel, adhesions, mesh that ripped away from the left side of the hernia and crumpled, and omentum that was stuck to the mesh.Post operative treatment includes mesh revision and repair of recurrent hernia with new mesh.
 
Event Description
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a chronic draining periumbilical wound with potentially infected ventral hernia mesh.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced small bowel obstruction secondary to recurrent incarcerated ventral hernia, hernia sac that contained small bowel, adhesions, mesh that ripped away from the left side of the hernia and crumpled, and omentum that was stuck to the mesh.Post operative treatment includes mesh revision and repair of recurrent hernia with new mesh.
