Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare professional (hcp) regarding the patient¿s implantable drug infusion device.The drug being delivered was 10 mg/ml duramorph (morphine) at 3.3 mg/day, and was adjusted to 1.968 mg/day.The reason for use was spinal pain.It was reported that the patient has fallen a lot within the last few days and that he came into the er today ((b)(6) 2019) obtunded.She reports they have given him "a lot of narcan" so he is now getting symptoms of withdrawal.The caller reports she does not see any programming errors, but that the patient is on levorphanol, which can have similar symptoms.The caller was assisted with screen navigation to program the pump to a lower dose using the 8840.There were no further complications reported/anticipated.
