Event Description
|
It was reported that the physician intended to use moma balloon at the common carotid artery.The device was prepped without issue after the distal balloon was inflated at the external carotid artery(eca) and the proximal balloon was inflated at the common carotid artery(cca), the contrast was seen flowing through the internal carotid artery(ica) indicating an incomplete occlusion.The physician left the device in place and concluded the carotid artery stenting(cas).There was no patient injury reported.
