Device evaluation: the pump has been returned and evaluated by product analysis on 24-sep-2019 with the following findings: a review of the pump black box showed pump reboots.A visual inspection of the pump revealed the battery compartment and returned battery cap were undamaged. The returned battery cap was able to fit securely to maintain an electrical connection. The battery cap contact height and width measurements were found to be within specification. The pump powered on with a blank display.Further testing for a power issue was unable to be performed due to the blank display. There was moisture visible in the display. The pump leaked at a pump case crack. The pump was opened and moisture damage was found on the printed circuit board.Animas has conducted a review of the device history record for this pump and confirmed that it was operating within required specifications at the time of release.
