Additional Manufacturer Narrative

Clinical assessment was completed based on the received medical records. The reported type 1b endoleak from the right iliac artery, rupture aaa, and secondary endovascular procedure were confirmed.Additionally, it was determined that there was evidence to reasonable suggest the right iliac extension migrated (cephalic) into the sac which was not included in the event as reported. The extension migration and the secondary ev procedure was discovered on during review of the 21 month post implant computerized tomography (ct) scan. The type 1b endoleak from the right iliac artery and the cephalic migration was most likely due to the aortic remodeling observed in the comparative images from 1m post initial implant and 21m post ct.The rupture is most likely due to the type 1b endoleak from right iliac artery and migration of the limb into the sac.The procedure related harms could not be identified due to lack of the contrasted pre-ct.The final patient was reported being stable. The device remains implanted; therefore, no device evaluation was completed. The manufacturing lot evaluation confirmed all devices met specifications prior to release. No additional investigation of this reported event is planned; however, if additional information pertinent to the incident is obtained, a follow-up report will be submitted.Endologix will continue to monitor this complaint and similar complaints in the event further investigation is needed.
