Event Description
|
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a ventral and umbilical hernias.It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced wound dehiscence, open abdominal wound with exposed prosthetic mesh producing malodorous drainage, adhesions, scarring, and excessive abdominal fat.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgery.
