It was reported that the procedure was performed to treat a moderately calcified, moderately tortuous left circumflex that was 90% stenosed. The lesion was pre-dilated with a traveler balloon then a xience sierra stent was deployed. For post-dilatation, a 2.75x15mm nc trek was used, however, the balloon ruptured during the first inflation at 10 atmospheres.A new non-abbott device was used to successfully complete the procedure. There were no adverse patient effects and no clinically significant delay in the procedure.
