The reported complaint of the autopulse platform (serial # (b)(4) would not power on was confirmed during initial functional test. The investigation findings revealed a battery connector cable was not fully connected to the battery connector. The root cause of the reported power issue was due to two broken back rivet joint nuts on the battery cable connector that holds the battery connector. It is undetermined how the rivet joint nuts got damaged but manufacturing could not be ruled out.To remedy the power issue, the battery connector assembly was replaced. No physical damage was observed on the returned autopulse platform during visual inspection. After service repair, the returned autopulse platform powers on and was subjected to the run-in test using the 95% patient large resuscitation test fixture (lrtf) with good known test battery until discharged without any fault or error. The platform passed all functional tests.Historical complaints were reviewed for service information related to the reported complaint and there was no previous history of complaint reported for autopulse platform with serial number (b)(4).
