Event Description
It was reported that the patient felt tonic therapy to be irritating and wanted access to burst therapy.As a result, the patient stopped recharging the ipg as recommended.In turn, the ipg became inoperable.As a result, surgery occurred to explant and replace the ipg and the issue was resolved.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The directions for use states that the implant must be charged every 30 to 90 days to avoid battery depletion.  based on the information received, the cause of the reported incident is related to user error.
