Event or Problem Description
|
|
It was reported that the patient underwent balloon kyphoplasty surgery due to compression fracture.Intra-op, the inflatable bone tamps (ibt) was placed in the vertebral body and when it was attempted to inflate the balloon, the balloon did not inflate even though the handle was rotated. And the pressure did not increase either, so the balloon was replaced with a spare one. Then the operation was continued and was completed without any problem. There were no patient symptoms or complications as a result of this event.
