Event Description
During a procedure, one resolute onyx rx coronary drug eluting stent was implanted to treat a lesion.The device was not inspected prior to use.The lesion was pre-dilated.Resistance was not encountered when advancing the device.Excessive force was not used during delivery.It was reported that the resolute onyx stent was 12 days past its expiration date when implanted.It was stated that this issue was discovered after the stent was implanted.The patient was reported to be alive with no injuries.
