|
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator (ins) for non-malignant pain.It was reported that something is wrong with her recharger again.Caller stated the night before, when patient was in bed charging, patient felt something got extremely hot and was "stinging and painful." caller mentioned patient reached down and discovered the junction box was very hot and pretty much burned her when she touched it.Caller mentioned patient noticed today that there are wires showing on recharger cord.A replacement recharger is sent to patient.No further complications were reported or anticipated.
