This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information. The complaint is confirmed. The device was not returned for investigation as it remains implanted.A photo was provided, which shows the patient's reported skin abnormality. The cranial skin appears to clearly show the outline of the implanted pre-formed mesh. The provided image appears to show skin resorption. The skin is likely very thin in that area, which contributes to the discoloration as the mesh implant is titanium anodized green. The cause of this condition is unknown from the information received, but at this point it is likely that the condition is aesthetic. If it continues to progress, it is possible that it could result in implant exposure. The dhr for this product was reviewed, no non-conformance's were found. There are no indications of manufacturing defects. This is the only complaint for this item# 01-9522, lot# 356460.The most likely underlying cause of the complaint is a patient condition. If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental report will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
